IHBC’s Feedback Report for #IHBCAberdeen2022 School and MarketPlace: 90%+ all round; ‘Topical, informative, & inspiring…’

Initial feedback on the IHBC’s Aberdeen 2022 School was impressive – especially for such an experimental format – with that 90%+ positive response now confirmed in our regular School feedback analysis and report.

… the best CPD on offer, at the best possible prices too…

IHBC Aberdeen 2022 School Committee convenor and lead organiser Douglas Campbell of the Aberdeen City Heritage Trust said: ‘The Scottish Branch and the Local Event Committee were both delighted to be able to welcome delegates to Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire; in person or virtually!’

‘The opportunity to communicate a range of important global and local issues, challenges and successes was thanks to the collaboration of people and organisations who gave their time to present, lead tours and open up buildings for delegates. Our thanks goes to them all, and my personal thanks to IHBC and the Local Event Committee who did a power of work in the lead up to and during the Annual School to deliver a successful event.’

IHBC Director Seán O’Reilly said: ‘Early feedback was already extremely positive and generous.  This detailed analysis and review confirms that in-person delegates have had a very rewarding experience – justifying the costs, logistics and efforts of travel to one of our less accessible School venues.’

… virtual delegates also valued very highly both the experience and the CPD…

‘Remembering the inevitable constraints around on-line learning experiences, it’s worth highlighting too how our virtual delegates also valued very highly both the experience and the CPD!’

… including with some free events that build on the legacy of our Aberdeen School…

‘We will of course do all we reasonably can to help everyone address any limitations for #IHBCSwansea2023, including with some free events that build on the legacy of our Aberdeen School.  That will all help our service users and members gain all the best CPD on offer, at the best possible prices too.’

The IHBC writes:

The feedback from delegates, both in person and on line, on the IHBC’s first hybrid School, Aberdeen 2022, has been collated and is available on the IHBC website.

Delegates, in their homes and offices and in person in Aberdeen, highly praised the standards of training and CPD provided by the School (figures rounded):

  • The School was invaluable or very useful (90% of delegates)
  • The Annual School was a good or excellent experience (94% of delegates)
  • The School met their own training or CPD requirements completely or sufficiently (90% of delegates)
  • The Day School presentations were excellent or good (94% of delegates)
